Celebrate with Fireworks both July 3rd and July 4th this year at different Westchester County venues.
One of the most active Firework “events” is held in Valhalla at Kenisco Dam Plaza. This is held on July 3rd.! D.J. Music starts at 6:00 p.m. You can picnic, listen to music and watch the Fireworks at sundown. Parking can be limited at the Dam. Additional parking at Valhalla Station and then just walk up to the park.
July 3rd is also the night to go to Ossining at the Louis Engel Waterfront Park. Concert starts at 7:15 pm.
Our favorite place to see Fireworks is along the River Towns. When the weather is good, you can see firework displays as far as the city, all the way up to Nyack and across the river in New Jersey
Irvington does have its Fireworks display again..although it was hard to trace on the internet. They have some food concessions, but we usually bring a basket picnic and chairs with friends. Held on July 4th at Matthiessen Park from 5-9 pm. Best to park up up near town, unless you want to wait in long lines from parking lots below.
A full day of entertainment can be found in Dobbs Ferry at Waterfront Park on July 4th, with fireworks at sundown.
And, of course, Rye Playland at 1 Playland Parkway has fireworks at 9:30 accompanied by music.
