GRAND CENTRAL HOLIDAY FAIR AND BRYANT PARK ACTIVITIES

GRAND CENTRAL HOLIDAY FAIR AND BRYANT PARK ACTIVITIES

The Grand Central annual Holiday Fair in Vanderbilt hall near 42nd Street is only one of several things you can take the train into the city, walk and partake of the holiday spirit.  The Fair has a variety of vendors/booths with gifts ranging from handcrafted jewelry, scarves, pottery, pillows to childrens upscale toys and dolls and more.  When arriving in Grand Central bring your camera for the annual light show. The Toshiba sponsored Lights Show you can see on the ceiling and around edge of GCG.

Your children may enjoy visiting the MTA Train Store and Museum located on the West side of GCG.

Want to grab lunch before heading over to Bryant Park to skate or shop?Among the many food choices on the lower level of Grand Central is the new addition of Shake Shack!  After opening October 5th, you are amazed that it is the one food vendor that has a roped off line!  Check out some of the other new food venues that have been added over last few months.

Now, Bryant Park this time of the year, just two blocks away from Grand Central Station behind the New York Public Library, has an ice skating rinkfor the family and 125 different vendors (in tents) to shop for thatunusual scarf, ornament or gift.

All of this is happening now. So, you can leave the car at home, take the train into GCS and enjoy a few hours in the city.  Of course, if you want to complete the day, go to the booth in Times Square and pick up some tickets to a play on Broadway for a matinee!
