Although we live in Southern Westchester, we are always exploring restaurants we have not been to in Westchester County. Luckily we have many friends in Croton on Hudson who introduce us to ones farther up the corridor.
Having had a home up in the Catskills for years, we were excited when we pulled up to Traditions in Granite Springs last night. With its Stone exterior and cozy inside, starting with a view of their wine case, a bar, and then on to the restaurant with its tablecloths and fireplace, we knew we’d enjoy the evening.
The waitress was friendly and helpful, the food came out all at one time (2 waiters delivered 2 meals each), and the large menu allows for tastes of everyone.
We shared a chopped salad, which was actually chopped and very good. My husband’s Duck A La Orange was excellent.
They have catering both at the retaurant and off site which includes everything from appetizers, to entrees, to even pizza and large heroes.
The thing that caught my eye, though, which we may be driving up there for is a “Disco D.J. Dance Event on Friday, April 13th. Being of the baby boomer generation, where can you find a place to go to dance in a “lively” grown up place besides a wedding! Reservations are suggested for that evening.!!!!
