Forbes has named our own Tarrytown, New York as one the 10 prettiest towns in the USA. I find the honor hard to dispute. Just this past week I was taking photos of the Tappan Zee Bridge from Pierson Park, and whether you are looking out at the Hudson like I was, strolling downtown, or seeing the Marymount Dome from the town reservoir, there is quite a bit of beauty to take in.
Architecturally, there are quite a few stately buildings downtown, giving the area an iconic Americana feel. If you like pre war homes, mansard roofs, Victorians and mature neighborhoods with century-old trees, Tarrytown has them in spades.
With a median home price the last 6 months of $542,000 and 31 active listings for sale at a median list price of $579,000, buyers in Tarrytown have the luxury of reasonable prices and a large inventory to select a home.
If you do get to take a stroll in Tarrytown this spring, we recommend Coffee Labs at 7 Main Street for a relaxing pit stop to refuel on the best coffee around, gnosh on pastries, and watch the people go by on Main Street. There is nothing like it.
