Chef Central has moved from Central Avenue to the Crossroads Shopping Center at 419 Tarrytown Road in White Plains. Phone: 914-328-1376. Its open 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 pm Monday-Saturday and 10 am. to 6:00 pm on Sunday.
For those of you who haven’t received their discount mailing to launch their new location, you can go on their website and there is a link to receive 10% off an item if you sign up for their emails showing promotions and monthly discounts.
Chef Central is now offering cooking classes. The calendar can also be found on their website. They have classes for the 3-5 year old set, to teenagers and adults. They are having a “Bone, Roll and Tie” class for Easter on Sat. April 19th for $95 a student. This includes your own leg of lamb and being shown how to bone, roll and season it. Then you will be sent home with instructions on roasting it for the next days meal! You can also register for this class online or visit the store.
The Crossroads Shopping Center is going through a total facelift, with new fronts and signs above each store. My favorite store is Home Goods. BUT, I noticed that a new DSW will be opening soon at the other end of the strip where A&P closed several years ago! That will be a good addition and better parking than heading down to the DSW in Yonkers near Burlington Coat Factory!
