As a transplant from the North Country of New York State, I have learned to love my adopted home of Lower Westchester County. We live in a beautiful area. Do you want salt water fishing? We have that! Head over to the Long Island Sound. Do you want to sail the Hudson? No problem, we have that waterfront covered! Easy access to Manhattan, we abound with highways, Metro North and the Beeline bus service that makes commuting a snap. We even have a one fare transfer from the Beeline to the MTA. Feel like flying? We have local and regional airports. And don't forget the shopping! If there is a store to be desired, it will be found in the boundaries of Westchester County. We have many educational facilities, colleges, private schools, foreign language schools and adult education opportunities. You will find lakes, ponds, streams rivers, and hills and valleys. The system of county parks, pools and golf courses provide varied recreational facilities. And restaurants? We are in direct competition with Manhattan and we step up to the bar. You can find any kind of food in any kind of setting. Romantic water views, trendy hot spots and famous hot dog stands are easily accessible. Westchester County has all the suburban and rural appeal you could want while providing unparalleled access to NYC and all its charms.
