For those of you who travel down Saw Mill River Road and wonder what that sign that says “NOW OPEN” in the place where Captain Video used to be, its a new informal restaurant called Downtown 731 Restaurant. No website yet (they are working on it), so I thought I’d mention it on our blog!
Its rare a new restaurant opens in the Village of Ardsley. This is a “no frills”, no tablecloth restaurant that has a combination of Greek food as well as just plain burgers, soups, appetizers, salads and sandwiches.
Some of the “Greek Favorites” are Pastitsio and Greek Salad, Lamb or Chicken Kabobs, Souvlaki Platters, Gyro Platters and Grilled Shrimp Platter. Nothing more than $19.
Burgers also include a Turkey or Veggie burger for those who desire all around $10 including fries or sweet potato fries!
They even have Hot Open Turkey or Steak Sandwiches for $14!
So, if you are missing that “informal” diner feeling in Ardsley and need a quick lunch or dinner or take-out (I saw 4 people waiting for take-out),perhaps give this restaurant a try!
If you are shopping at DeCiccos up on Center Street, just keep going straight out of the driveway and its right next to Captain Wine and Spirit at 731 Saw Mill River Road (thus the 731 next to Downtown Restaurant!)
