Kong Dong Korean Restaurant opened on May 22nd in the Dalewood Shopping
Center in Hartsdale. This small Tofu based restaurant is few doors down
from T.J. Maxx on one side and McDonalds on the other side. The restaurant is owned by Peter Won who has two other Tofu restaurants, one in Manhattan and one in Purchase. Reviews are mixed right now according to Chowhound Website,
but mainly because of the length of time it takes them to prepare the
meals, and how “furiously” steaming hot the soon dubu jigae came out.
Time will tell whether this specialty restaurant keeps its customers
coming back for more. It seems lately that local restaurants have a
“fast” start, but then seem to peter out and start putting those
“discount coupons” in your local Value Pak! No liquor license yet, so ask for that glass of cold water if you are ordering those “hot” meals!
