What Would You Do If You Won Powerball

What Would You Do If You Won Powerball

The Powerball Lottery is worth an estimated $500 Million Dollars!!!! Have you bought your lottery ticket yet?

I ask because winning the lottery is a dream for many people...is it your dream?

Do you find yourself saying "Its going to be me"?

Well, I don't mean to burst your bubble but I just read an article that lists out things you have a better chance of the following things than winning:

  • Getting struck by lightening

  • Becoming President

  • Becoming a movie star

And I have been told  people have a better chance of the follow versus winning the lottery

  • Working hard and becoming a self made billionaire

  • Dating a super model

  • Having identical quadruplets

Now those might not be odds that you want to hear but lets face it winning the big jack pot is not very likely. But I say this know there are many people who don't care. They don't mind the odds. They play anyways. Are you that person? If so then keep on reading.

I think its fun to "play to pretend". I know my odds are low, but I play anyways like so many people.

So let me ask you...

Would you take a vacation? Would you donate it to a good cause? Would you invest it in real estate? Would you help those closet around you?

Well, those are the things I believe I would do.

Planning A Vacation

So I can't imagine winning the lottery and not getting an opportunity to travel. My travel plans would involve traveling the world by train, boat and car. Flying is out of the question for me due to health reasons (check out my blog: https://meandbreastcancer.wordpress.com/). I would want to visit where my husband is from, visit the places my family is from, and places I dreamt of visiting when I was a little girl.

Where would you go? And for how long? And how would you get there? And who would you travel with?

Donating To A Good Cause

Winning the lottery would be sweet because it would change my world. Hopefully for the better and not the other. Have you read those horror stories lottery winners that either lived a nightmare or made poor decision where their lives were changed in a negative way. Yikes.... Click here to read about their stories.

Anyways, back to donating for a good cause. I, for one, have been touched with cancer thanks to my own diagnosis and my mothers. In 2013, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC). Click here to read about this cancer. And my mom has Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). Click here to read about this cancer.

So I know I would be donating to helping those with TNBC and CLL. And I may even donate to Multiple Sclerosis (MS) as my mother also has that. Click here to read about Multiple Sclerosis.

How much would I donate... I do not know?

If you are going to donating, what would you donate to? Would it be towards cancer, the homeless, a school, someone in need, a community or what? And how much would you donate?

And What Would You Invest In

This is an easy one for me...after all I am a real estate agent. HAHA. So I would invest in real estate. Its a no brainer for me. Real Estate is exciting and last night I pretended that I had lots of money to invest. So much fun.

Ultimately I believe I would lean towards something in New York City but here are some properties that would seriously challenge me.

Here are some ideas that I just have to share with you guys.

1. 4545 Boston Post Road: Asking $1,550,000 in Pelham, New York.

This home is a hop skip and a jump away from New York City (NYC).  It is a beautiful grand victorian home in move in condition with many original details and a large kitchen! The home just needs a little taste of me to make it just right! Plus it has a pool and sits on a nice sized yard!!!! Oh and it has a separate unit for guests or extended family!

2. 21 Crows Nest Road: Asking $7,250,000 in Bronxville, New York

This is a house I would purchase if I felt like splurging! It is a lovely and elegant estate home conveniently located about 28 minutes to NYC. It has a lot to offer open kitchen, fenced yard, two fireplaces, and it is made from brick and stone. And all the bedrooms have its own bathroom and custom closets.

3. 640 West 237th Street Unit#8C: Asking $1,195,000 in Riverdale, New York

This is a condo and this is more along the lines of what I probably will purchase if I don't move into Manhattan. I love condos. I live in one right now. Having a yard is something I always had growing up so moving into something different is exciting and this condo has an open kitchen and floor to ceiling windows. Its beautiful.

Planning what to do with winning the jack pot in tonight's Powerball is fun. Plans I make today may change if I win. How about you?
